LAHORE: The majority of the families of Covid-19 victims are not following the SOPs issued by Primary and Secondary Health Department during their burial.
Commissioner Lahore Division took notice of this issue and directed the district administration to ensure implementation of the burial guidelines of Primary and Secondary Health Department.
Following the direction of the commissioner, Deputy Commissioner Lahore Mudassar Riaz wrote a letter to 18 public and private hospitals and directed them to implement SOPs for burial of patients who died due to Corona.
Sources in the district administration revealed that the commissioner got many reports that regular funerals of patients died due to Covid-19 had been carried out in the city. ....

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court (SC) Thursday observed that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) did not mention in its judgment any design on the part of local administration by creating hindrances in the voting process during the by-polls in National Assembly constituency NA-75, Daska.
A three-member bench of the apex court, headed by Justice Umer Ata Bandial, heard the petition of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate Ali Asjad Malhi, challenging the ECP order of February 25, 2021, declaring the by-election at NA-75 Daska void and ordering re-polling in the whole constituency. Salman Akram Raja, counsel for the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) candidate Nausheen Iftikhar, while continuing his arguments through video link from Lahore Registry, submitted that the Election Commission found that there were some designs on the part of the local administration of creating hindrances during the Daska by-polls. ....

Hazara admin issues SOPs ahead of Ramazan

ABBOTTABAD: As the holy month of Ramazan is approaching, the divisional administration on Thursday issued the SOPs of Covid-19 to be implemented during the holy month.
The official announcement was made by Commissioner Hazara Division Riaz Mehsud at a meeting. RPO Hazara Mirwais Niaz, religious scholars, journalists, deputy commissioners and district police officers of Abbottabad, Haripur, Mansehra and Batagram districts were also present.
The administration, while distributing a handout consisting of 20 points, stated that people intending to offer prayers at mosques have been strictly advised to perform ablution at home and wear a facemask. Physical distancing has been made mandatory, and people have been asked to keep a six-feet distance between two rows and at least one-meter distance between people at all times. ....
