County Legislature approves Community Justice Center, supports NY Health Act

The Community Justice Center was officially approved on May 18, after the funding being previously approved by the Budget and Public Safety committees. Legislator Rich John introduced the resolution and said it is the first big step following the Reimagining Public Safety plan’s approval in March.

The project manager would be the director of the CJC, while the data analyst would focus on data and collection. Together they would work with the Ithaca Police Department, Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office, Common Council and County Legislature to establish the framework for implementation of the approved recommendations, as well as identify and facilitate the next ste ....
