Sastry Pamidi is the Center for Advanced Power Systems (CAPS) associate director, as well as, professor and chair of the ECE Department at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering in Tallahassee, Florida.
A FAMU-FSU College of Engineering professor recognized for his work in cryogenics has been selected as a fellow by the Cryogenic Society of America.
Professor Sastry Pamidi is the chair of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering and the associate director for the Center for Advanced Power Systems (CAPS). Pamidi received the award during the virtual joint 23rd Cryogenic Engineering Conference and International Cryogenic Materials Conference, held in July 2021. ....

'Floating' microgrids: Optimizing naval ships' power systems

Supported by two Office of Naval Research grants totaling $900,000, Wenxin Liu, of Lehigh University, will continue research into the advanced control of power systems through algorithmic design and hardware experimentation. He will examine real-time optimal power flow control in power electronic power distribution systems and investigate the coordination of heterogeneous generators within a naval ship s power system. Advanced Conductor Technologies secures $1.6M grant – BizWest

BOULDER Advanced Conductor Technologies LLC, a Boulder-based company that develops superconducting power cables, has received a $1.6 million grant from the U.S. Department of Energy’s Advanced Research Projects Agency Energy to develop compact superconducting power cables for future use in twin-aisle electric aircraft.
