President Bola Ahmed Tinubu flouted the law establishing the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) by appointing Professor Charles Anosike as the Director-General of the agency, SaharaReporters has gathered. Tinubu’s spokesperson Ajuri Ngelale had on December 13 announced Anosike and five others as heads of six parastatals under the Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development.
Industry players believe the new aviation minister should take the baton from where his predecessor stopped by ditching the planned national carrier and focusing on improving infrastructure in the airports and reforming the sector in general.
