Welcome back. we have more breaking news tonight. a wildfire is burning north of santa clarita, california, northwest of los angeles. you see the affiliates from our affiliate kcal of the fires burning dangerously close to transmission lines. 20 acres have so far gone up in flames. there are no evacuations or injuries reported, but you can see how close they are to those lines. large numbers of firefighters have reported to the scene to try to get the situation under control. we will continue to monitor that, obviously, and see if the fire spreads beyond where it is currently. now back to our other breaking news. the weather news. tornadoes in oklahoma and arkansas, part of a powerful storm system across much of the southern plains and mid-mississippi river valley. tom joins us now. you have new information about the damage the storm is doing across the plains. yeah. mainly it s been oklahoma and arkansas where we have had many reports, chad myers heading up i-35 to this one near a ....

let s bring in a reporter from our affiliate kcal. she s in the area where the shooting happened. bring us up to date on how the community is respond dag. reporter: well, you know, kyra, emotions are still high. three days of evening protests. many folks who live and work here are angry. they want answers. they don t understand why this 37-year-old guatemalan native was shot and killed. they do know right behind us there is a makeshift memorial. there have been candles. there have been flowers. this has been the site in this west lake district, not too far from downtown los angeles, where these protesters have been out here taking to the streets, really expressing their outrage. they feel the shooting was unjustified and other measures should have been taken, however land has a different story. three veteran officers who responded to calls out here say that a man was waving a 95. ....
