The students and teachers at Dayville School did not expect to start their school day facing off with an errant bull, but that’s what happened when Grant County Sheriff Todd McKinley responded to the scene.

McKinley said he responded to a report of the bull chasing kids and teachers as students were getting off the bus Thursday morning in the school parking lot. He said the bull, a 900 to 1,000 pound animal with seven-inch horns, was eventually cornered and was put down in an area away and out of eyesight from the children. ....
