Anna Busch, Union County agronomy educator, and Dave Hartman, Lycoming County livestock educator, are looking at the yield and potential market premium for non-GMO soybeans in north-central Pennsylvania. In 2020 they grew and evaluated sulfonylurea-tolerant soybeans. STS is a non-GMO genetic trait. STS soybeans can be safely sprayed with higher rates of sulfonylurea herbicides such as Synchrony.
