What was on that flight simulator. i think we re overlooking a big issue here. john, i m not sure you want to get into the middle of these guys, but what s your thought of that being on the flight simulator? my thought is accident investigators are driven by the facts. and facts on a conspiracy theorist and somebody in the lower compartment taking control of the airplane are pretty thin. the facts that indicate a human intervention to make this airplane go where it did are a lot stronger. however, everything is on the table. until the facts drive us one way or the other. yeah. john, good to have you on. miles o brien, richard quest, as well. just ahead tonight, new details about the fate of cecil s cubs. could their uncle actually be stepping up to keep them safe after their father, cecil, was killed? plus, other new developments in the search for the american dentist who killed cecil. we ll talk to jack hanna ahead. also ahead, the legal exotic ....

I know the terminology being used is sped up. but he increased the vertical speed. you can dial in and basically make the airplane go down faster or make it go up faster also. he increased it. maybe he was looking for a specific spot and was trying to increase the rate of descent so he could get to that spot. it s hard to say exactly what you re saying to me i m trying to envision what honestly was going on in that cockpit for those harrowing eight minutes. i ve had visions of him sitting back and waiting for his demise without any regard for 149 people behind him. and now i m getting visions of him toiling away frantically to make it happen as if it s just another day on the job. well, once again, the whole thing is just baffling and crazy. it seems to me from the data that we re being told that he maintained a heading or at least what we call lnap, it was ....

I am back. i wanted to suggest some things to you. number one, i m not an airbus pilot. but i understand that the way the flight management works, it sounds to me like it would be very difficult to accidentally the control or even slump down on it and have the airplane go into a controlled descent, maintaining the airspeed maintaining the same heading only thing changed was the altitude. that s one thing. the next thing is we don t know if someone else didn t enter the cockpit. at least i haven t been told that. we don t know if there was somebody else in there legally, got in there legally. we don t know who that would be or that person in the final analysis. i m concerned we re going down a rabbit hole with the feeling that we have the co-pilot in the ....

Perfectly. the fact is that in the early stages we assume that, okay, somebody intentionally crashed it in the water it could have been anywhere. that s all logical based on the information that we got from day one, day three, day five. but then you have to take into consideration how far would the airplane go we know how much fuel was on board. we know basically what the last ground speed which was about 450 knots. we know the last altitude was 30,000 feet. they just performed a bunch of calculations and said, okay, under these conditions, with winds aloft, airplane steady state, tracking outbound, how far before fuel exhaustion? they took it right to the limit and that s why they then narrowed that search box because that was the finite limit for how far that airplane could travel based on what we knew. ....

Speculation lace as to suspects. given all the elements we ve discussed here, that doesn t seem too far afield. nobody can say i know what happened and nobody can eliminate any of the possibilities. those are all very much on the table. if it is terrorism, you want to know, is there a follow-up attack what group may be involved in further attacks? we have steal doors remain ing on the cockpit. the reality of a hijacker getting in there and taking over the plane is what? small. a few weeks ago we had a hijacking, it s possible. we don t know what happened, is this a tragedy? did the airplane go somewhere else? it didn t end up in newark, it ....
