Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall said the service may move on from its ARRW hypersonic missile in favor of the HACM weapon.
The Air Force on Monday carried out the first live-fire test of its first hypersonic weapon, which can travel at least five times the speed of sound, according to service officials.
The test could pave the way for ARRW to be put into production by its manufacturer Lockheed Martin as early as fiscal 2024 — if the weapon's capabilities can overcome the reservations of certain top Air Force leaders, that is.
Tulsa Public Schools and Mustang Public Schools in Oklahoma were disciplined by the state's education board after they violated a new law that prevents critical race theory teachings.
The successful test means that the “booster” phase of testing is over. Operational testing will begin later this year.
