Sanwo-Olu. Photo: FOLLOWLASG It was a moment of joy for residents of Agbado Okeodo, Mosan Okunola in Ayobo Ipaja Local Council Development Area as the Lagos State Government began work on the Akinola/Aboru drainage channel to curb flooding in the area.
Before now, many lives had been lost in floods, while properties worth several millions got destroyed because of the bad state of the drainage.
However, the state Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Mr Tunji Bello, who disclosed this at a stakeholders’ meeting in Abule Egba at the weekend, announced the commencement of works on the drainage channel. ....
