About this event WE RE BACK HOME! Last month, CATC returned after the much dreaded Covid break, though that was at our sister venue, Crane (which will now happen bi-monthly, with featured special acts). So this month we re absolutely ecstatic to be back at The CASTLE (Comic Association s Studio for Teaching, Learning & Execution). Once again, DJ Judge Jerry will be here to greet guests with an eclectic blend of Caribbean reggae and USA heavy funk. He sets the mood by introducing co-founder and host, Kallang Ram, who gets the party started with his unique and fast growing welcoming satire. THE FAST AND THE FUNNIEST theme is then put on rapid display, with 11 comics hitting the stage in timely succession. The evening is split into two halves, with the first segment being headlined by Prem John of Channel 5 fame, and later, topping the night will be none other than, Artur Akhmetzyanov. ....
0 Engagements Eight people aged between 26 and 41 were convicted of selling electronic vaporisers (e-vaporisers) and related components online in Singapore between November last year and February this year. The eight, whose cases were unrelated, were fined a total of $172,500, the Health Sciences Authority (HSA) said yesterday. Goods worth more than $50,000 were seized from them. Repeat offender Akmal Syafiq Marzuki, 33, was given the highest penalty where he was sentenced to jail for one week and given a fine of $61,000 on Feb 26. Importing his stock from overseas, Akmal Syafiq used Instagram and Carousell to advertise and arrange for the sale of e-vaporisers, their components and e-liquids with nicotine. ....
JOHOR BARU: Malaysians working in Singapore can return for short trips with approval under the Periodic Commuting Arrangement (PCA), says MIC’s Singapore workers affairs bureau chief S. Aruldass. The bureau has been getting many calls from Malaysians in the republic seeking assistance over the latest movement control order in Malaysia. “We received an average of six calls a week from those with emergency cases, such as a death in the family, ” said Aruldass. He said Malaysians could apply for PCA through their company but they must pay S$2,100 (RM6,394) before leaving. “The payment is to cover their 14-day quarantine in Singapore once they get back there, ” he said. ....
