Alliance says veteran banner project waiting on Ohio Edison Review Staff Report The City of Alliance currently has 35 banners honoring veterans in hand while it waits for Ohio Edison to give the city permission to use its utility poles. The city launched its Honoring Hometown Heroes program in 2019, and it is an ongoing project in which Alliance-area veterans’ service to military branches is hailed. City Council moves forward with plans to redevelop Carnation City Mall ALLIANCE  The city is moving forward with plans to redevelop Carnation City Mall.  Alliance intends to put the mall property, located at 2500 W.
