(CTN News) - Boston, you are in for a treat. According to forecasters, Tuesday's snowstorm will be the city's heaviest snowfall in two years...............
After a very active stormy weather pattern in Massachusetts, it appears the region will be avoiding any significant precipitation for the next week at least.
“Snow is likely with a chance of rain in the morning,” Alan Dunham, a meteorologist with the NWS, told the Herald. “It will finish off as snow showers in the mid-afternoon. Accumulation for Greater Boston could be about one to three inches.”
Franklin and Hampshire counties are expected to hit the jackpot of the storm, with upwards of 8 inches of snow, while Boston and other coastal cities and towns are likely to endure a rainy mess, according to the National Weather Service.
After another round of light snow, with the highest totals expected along Cape Cod and the South Shore, bitter "downright frigid" arctic temps will take over.
