A driver who plowed into a crowd on a Southern California sidewalk in 2019, injuring nine people, has been convicted of hit-and-run crimes
Nine people were injured in the February 2019 incident. Christopher Solis, the motorist, says, "This whole thing has been emotional. I think about the victims every day."
Dashcam video from a passing car showed Christopher Solis’ tuck appear to swerve around another car and then out of view, followed by a volley of screams as the pickup veered onto the sidewalk filled with pedestrians.
But the jury did not determine if he was guilty of driving while impaired.
