Three more families recently moved into their new homes at Habitat for Humanity of Key West and the Lower Florida Keys Moss Landing development on Cudjoe Key.
“I’m told the selection panel was impressed by the high quality of the applications, and found it challenging to choose just 10 recipients,” Allan said. “The importance of research in this field can’t be underestimated, so it is hugely encouraging to see the interest this programme is generating.” The Wellington recipients were Callum Long, Josie Mainwaring, Amy Norris, and Jennifer Alderton-Moss.

The Department of Conservation has awarded 10 one-year postgraduate research scholarships of $15,000 each to masters students in the natural and social sciences. On Monday, Norris and Alderton-Moss had the opportunity to meet the minister over video link – from the comfort of the minister’s own office, with Allan herself calling in – to discuss their projects.
