A new study from the United Way of Northeast Louisiana and its research partner, United For Alice, found that despite growth in wages for the lowest-paid jobs, more families in Louisiana are facing financial hardships due to the skyrocketing costs of living. The study concluded that of the nearly 1.8 million households in Louisiana in 2022, 906,515 were below the ALICE Threshold measurement for economic hardship.
