A historical San Antonio home designed by Lone Star Brewery's architect is now for sale
Charles Haarmann paid just $1,000 for a half-acre lot in what's now the King William Historic District. In 1893, he tapped architect Albert Beckmann to design the five-bedroom house now on the market for $2.3 million. Beckmann, who designed commercial and public buildings along with homes for San Antonio’s elite, was a key member of the design team for the original Lone Star Brewing building, which now houses the San Antonio Museum of Art.
