Chester County community salutes its veterans
Laird served in the Air Force and flew B-17 bombers, said Lynne Kent, constituent services advisor for Sappey. Laird, who today lives in Wayne and grew up in Downingtown, flew 35 combat missions into Germany as a navigator out of a base in Italy.
