Now, an opinion by the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea is to clarify whether greenhouse gas emissions contribute to marine pollution. The report is expected a few months later and could have a major impact on future negotiations on climate. Since the World Climate Conference in Glasgow in 2021, the international community has been organized in the Commission of Small Island States on Climate Change and International Law (Cosis), which includes a total of nine nations.
