Comments Off on Doctors to Long Islanders: Get vaccinated
If there was only one message medical experts could convey to  Long Islanders over the age of 16, it’s this: Get vaccinated.
It’s the best way to protect against COVID.
And if you already are vaccinated, encourage your reluctant friends, family members and colleagues to get the information they need so that they can protect themselves, and those around them.
That was the message of Dr. Mark Jarrett, senior vice president and chief quality officer and deputy medical officer at Northwell Health, and Dr. Adhi Sharma, the chief medical officer and executive vice president of clinical affairs at Mount Sinai South Nassau,

Food industry retools in the time of COVID
For many in the food industry, challenging times are still ahead amid the COVID-19 crisis. But retooling their operations has helped, as consumers preferences as to how they dine out and order food have changed.
It’s been a challenge adapting to all the new rules and regulations and navigating through the constant changes,” said Frank Bono, owner of Primi Italian Steakhouse.
“Fortunately for us, we’ve been able to do it. We have a large enough space,” he added. “So it has been a little easier on us than it has been on some of my restaurant counterparts at, you know, a lot of the smaller restaurants. I feel for those guys.”
