PETALING JAYA: RM18mil has been allocated to facilitate legislative reforms including preparations for the implementation of alternative sentences to the mandatory death penalty.

PUTRAJAYA: The government has finalised its policy decision on alternative sentences to the mandatory death sentence for 11 offences and will present it to the Cabinet soon.
Sentencing will be left to the discretion of the courts.
