AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Until this week, many teachers in the Texas Panhandle were not eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
Now teachers, child care workers and education staff can get the vaccine if wanted.
Teachers eligible to be vaccinated against COVID-19 comes at a time when the state is reopening and masks mandates are being eased.
Some teachers are taking full advantage of the eligibility while others have been vaccinated for a while now thanks to their community. ....

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Non-traditional schools in Amarillo say they are seeing an increase of students and it’s due to virtual learning; but an increase for some schools could mean jobs lost for others.
Charter schools and schools that offer online learning say they have seen an increase in enrollment since the pandemic broke out and especially now that some area school districts have done away with virtual learning. ....
