line, the stakes could not be higher. republicans need to pick up one senate seat and five house seats to take control on capitol hill. a new nbc news poll finds registered voters are tied at 47% when it comes to which party they want to control congress. the poll also finds democrats are closing the enthusiasm gap in this election. voters from both parties highly interested in the elections. we have already seen the enthusiasm play out as more than 41 million americans have already voted by mail or in person through early voting. but that s not stopping the heavy hitters from hitting the campaign trail for one last effort to rally support. president biden will travel to maryland to push for democrats, while former president donald trump will rally republicans in ohio. we re also keeping a close watch on two states that could determine control of the senate. pennsylvania and georgia. that is where we begin this hour. i want to bring in nbc news correspondent mora barret ....
