WATSON, N.Y. (WWNY) - Some have long, floppy ears and others have very unique markings.
These are some of the dogs that can be found at the Lewis County Humane Society.
But not all of these furry friends come from the North Country.
Lewis County has teamed up with the Herkimer County Humane Society to rescue dogs from kill shelters in Tennessee.
“Oh it’s phenomenal, I love doing this. This is probably the best part of the job is being able to save the dogs that don’t have anywhere else to go and are at risk. So, it’s just great,” said shelter manager Amber Zehr.
