An odds-on great day at the Mornington Cup
CITY racing comes to the Mornington Peninsula for Neds Mornington Cup Day this Saturday 20 March.
It is one of the most stunning days trackside you’ll ever experience on the Peninsula. From the rolling front lawn, to the deck with Winning Post views or three-course dining, there is a space and an experience for everyone.
For a relaxed day on the lawn, set yourself up trackside with the Squealing Pig Spritz Bar dedicated to keeping you hydrated across the day and an array of food trucks with a selection of snacks and meals to keep your hunger pangs at bay. There’s a DJ playing music between races, ample shade and a big screen to witness all the racing action unfold. Bring your picnic blanket and the family and enjoy a day out with us.

Poland emerged as an Australian Guineas candidate after claiming a Group 2 race just his fifth start at Caulfield on Saturday.
Having his first run since finishing out of the money in the Caulfield Guineas last spring, Poland showed his trainer Mike Moroney the 1600 metres of the $1 million Australian Guineas on February 27 at Flemington could be suitable after he got to the front early and then fought off the backmarkers to score. We came here today trying to work out whether he’d drop back to 1200 metres or go up to a mile, Moroney said. Probably on what I’m seeing today he’d go up to the mile, he’s stronger. But he’s got a lot of speed for a So You Think so he might handle 1200 metres as well.
