From STAFF REPORTS West Virginia Route 2 through Marshall County will move completely from two to four lanes now that a nearly $96 million project recently was approved through the state government’s “Roads to Prosperity” program. Gov. Jim Justice announced Tuesday that two projects had been approved, including Rt. 2 construction from Proctor to Kent. The project, approximately 5.25 miles long, will upgrade that section of Rt. 2 from two lanes to four. “This project is one of many on WV 2 that will ultimately provide a safe, convenient highway with increased traffic capacity,” said ...
