"I believe two bullets went past me, and then my brain registered that that's real. That's a real gun," Caden Dirk said. "So I ... took off running."
A Lincoln teen was sentenced in adult court Monday for a May 2022 shooting that left another teen with a gunshot wound to his face.
"What you were carrying could wipe out hundreds of individuals, not to mention the ripple effect of lives that would've been ruined because of it," the judge said.
Before prosecutors filed a motion Friday to have the murder charge dismissed, they filed new charges in a felony weapons case against the 22-year-old stemming from 2021.
