Fake warning to online Covid volunteers causes panic | India News

NEW DELHI: Social media posts related to Covid-19 information and resources cannot be taken down under the Disaster Management Act, according to legal and digital rights experts. They were reacting to a controversy caused by a viral online message claiming that Delhi Police would take “action” against people for sharing such material, reports Anam Ajmal.
TOI has screenshots of such a “warning” received by volunteers on instant messaging apps. However, Delhi Police have denied issuing any such directive. “We take strong objection to such motivated and unsubstantiated allegations… and hope the media will not lend any credence to such rumours,” they said in a statement shared by PRO Chinmoy Biswal. The statement added that the propaganda was being spread by some “vested groups that thrive on misinformation.”

The database with details of over 18 crore orders and sensitive information, including name, phone numbers, email addresses and credit card details of over 10 lakh users, is on sale on the dark web, UTB said. Domino’s parent company Jubilant Food-Works didn’t deny the breach, but refuted claims financial data was leaked.

Ghaziabad: Boy beaten up badly for entering temple for water | Noida News

The boy’s father said they were returning home when the 14-year-old felt thirsty and entered the temple to drink water
GHAZIABAD: “Badhiya se donon ka chehra aana chahiye (our faces should be clearly visible)”, Shringi Narayan Yadav instructs his aides before beating a 14-year-old boy black and blue. With blows raining on him, all the boy can mutter through the pain is a faint, “Paani peene aaye thhe uncle (I had come here to drink water)”.
But the beatings did not stop. Shringi didn’t just want to teach him a lesson. He also wanted to set an example. The man from Bhagalpur in Bihar, a worker at the Dasna Devi temple in Ghaziabad, had on Friday evening flown into rage at the sight of the boy drinking water from a tap on the premises of the temple. Shringi asked the boy his name, before ripping into him.
