The Andhra Pradesh government has moved Supreme Court challenging the decision of the Andhra Pradesh High Court to grant bail to former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in the skill development program scam case.
Justice K Sreenivasa Reddy observed that the offences alleged against Naidu could not be said to be in good faith and in discharge of his official duties as Chief Minister.
Justice K Sreenivasa Reddy also directed that the State Crime Investigation Department (CID) can not take custody of Naidu until September 18. The case will be heard further on September 19.
The court said that as CM, Naidu engaged in a criminal conspiracy and colluded with others to cause misappropriation of government funds to the tune of ₹279 crore.
