Cogir of San Rafael Memory Care failed to promptly report the alleged crime to authorities and took too long to get the victim medical care, according to a regulatory investigation.
Michael Andre Shipe, 65, of Novato is being held in lieu of $200,000 bail for alleged sex crimes against a patient at Cogir of San Rafael Memory Care.
The alleged crime was reported at a center that specializes in services for dementia patients and offers hospice care.
