Ocean swim race schedules and formats have changed due to COVID restrictions and some swimmers have missed out on their usual pre-season training. For the first time in its 40-year history, the Lorne Pier to Pub will run virtually in early January. Decemberâs Bondi to Bronte swim will also be virtual. Whitney Sloan began ocean swimming for the first time during Melbourne's lockdown.
