Sault High students compete on national level for BPA

SAULT STE. MARIE Twenty-six students from Sault Area High School and Career Center competed at the virtual 48th Annual Michigan Association State Leadership Conference for Business Professionals of America in March.
Of the 26 students who competed in their respective events, 10 Sault Area Career Center students placed to move on to the National Leadership Conference, which took place throughout the end of April and beginning of May.
The students who competed and represented Sault Area Career Center at the virtual National Leadership Conference are Andrew Borowski of fundamental accounting, Bonnie Li of banking and finance, Delaney Cushman of basic office systems and procedures and fundamental word processing, Haleigh Knowles of administrative support research project, Hannah Coneset of basic office systems and procedures, Liberty Wagner of advanced office systems and procedures and advanced word processing, Kait

SAULT STE. MARIE Almost 40 Business Professionals of America students at the Sault Area Career Center Chapter put their skills to the test at a recent competition at the Regional Leadership Conference.
Business Professionals of America is a youth organization which provides leadership and business opportunities for high school students to prepare them as they make decisions on their future careers. The skills that students learn through participating in a variety of business experiences that will help prepare them for a career in the workforce.
They competed in many different events, ranging from accounting to graphic design to public speaking. Events are individual or teams with the participants learning many skills from each. Students who placed high enough are eligible to attend the Business Professionals of America State Leadership Conference taking place virtually in March. The Sault Area Career Center chapter had 39 members this year. Compet
