Colton Migwi was sentenced Wednesday to a six year sentence for killing his brother in March 2020 in Behchokǫ̀, N.W.T. After deducting credit for time already spent in custody, Colton has an additional two years less a day in jail.
The sentencing hearing for Colton Migwi, who has pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the death of his brother, has been postponed. Prosecutor Duane Praught is seeking an order for a psychiatric assessment to determine if Migwi can be found not criminally responsible.
