Capabilities, as well as by the way, our military capabilities. so incredibly serious documents. so there could be a mixed bag of motives that go here, for the jury to consider. andrew one of the reasons i beg you enjoys to come on, and come on together is that you wrote together a piece in the new york times on how to convict trump. and he stressed the importance of keeping it simple, right? in quote, fortunately for mr. trump everything you know what the case provides ample support for an easily digestible 12 narrative punch of mr. trump taking documents that did not belong to him and then lying about it to cover up his misdeeds. choice how do, use the indictment to convince a jury that trump is guilty? right, so the jury forms the basis for the case the government will prove at trial. but it is not everything, and the government indicated when they filed the indictment that they expect the trial to list 21 days. that is obviously a rough ....

Be aileen cannon and i believe you called it a nightmare for doj. that was your preemptive strike against i want to listen about what former a.g. eric holder had to say about. her i am concerned about her handling this case. based on what she did in earlier phases of this matter, i m not sure she has the legal acumen to be a judge in charge of such an important case. i certainly don t think that she has the ability, based on what happened before, and the way she was exploited by the circuit court for trying to interfere with the fbi search of mar-a-lago. i don t think she has the ability to produce to project the notion of neutrality that a judge who is handling this matter has got to be able to do. so andrew, well i understand the doj can move to remove her, and of course that place is the question of timeline, and whether or not that than just delays actually getting this to trial. how do you see this all playing ....

Against trump they have just not a strong even without him and it s the difference between a false statement count and no jail time and a conspiracy to obstruct justice several years. so this is the guy, the last guy down with his trip. the arch loyalist to trump who has given him the diet coke for years. well actually hold? it certainly doesn t seem to me to be in his self interest but it is his call obviously. but i think they still have the goods on him through corcoran and through the surveillance tapes. still don t have a strong case and they need to cooperate to avoid several years in jail. harry i have less than a minute left, i want to pick up on something that andrew weizmann said to me at the beginning of the show which is this idea of the grounds by which doj might decide they have no option but to remove ....

And unprecedented effort to take a run at a lawful search warrant by filing a civil action to keep doj from using the fruits of that search. she was ultimately slapped down by the 11th circuit, they told her that she did not even have jurisdiction to hear that matter. but she ruled in a very heavy-handed way for trump, and what she did was she made it possible for him to delay doj s investigation. now there s a concern that she will delay the trial, she could of course recuse and should recuse based in along the 11th circuit. it is possible that if she makes some bad early rulings prosecutors will be able to appeal her and the circuit will order her to recuse. but at least for now, she will have the ability if she is so inclined to slow things down, and prosecutors will have a strategy at every turn to keep this case moving. i mean andrew, she could, and she shouldn t doesn t mean that she will. i was listening to your podcast, prosecuting donald trump, before we knew it was going to ....

Approximation, but that is a lengthy trial. that is asking the jury to pay attention for a very long time. so as we go line, it s important of overarching themes that help the jury understand all of the evidence as a connective hole. and for instance, you saw the sort of trouble prosecutors face in the former president statements where he went off riffing about the presidential papers act. well that is not one of the statutes he is charged under, it does not form his or explain any sort of defense to the sort of the case. the government will have to keep the jury focused on their evidence, understanding why it proves the charges that they have brought without letting them go astray on these sort of flights of fancy that trump s team will certainly try to get them to engage on. right, because andrew, those distractions or what he is known for. you both know, a big hurdle here convincing the american public, a hurdle that i think is harder to clear because of the asymmetry between tr ....
