Park City voters waiting to decide between Mayor Andy Beerman and the challenger for the mayor’s office, Park City Councilor Nann Worel, have just a short time to make a selection. Election Day, with two City Council seats also on the ballot, is Tuesday.
Mayor Andy Beerman and opponent City Councilor Nann Worel raised extraordinary sums of money during the campaign, financial reports submitted to City Hall show. Beerman by Tuesday had raised nearly $65,000 while Worel brought in nearly $54,000 during the same timeframe.
“Mayor Andy leads with head and heart. He’s respected by local, regional and state leaders and has made tremendous strides in building bridges both inside and outside our community,” write Ben and Paige Anderson.
The upcoming winter in Park City will offer something for people shopping at locally owned stores, freestyle skiing fans and lovers of independent films. A calendar is emerging that signals the community will again host a series of promotions, festive gatherings and highly recognizable happenings between November and March.
