A former Detroit mayoral candidate who is the son of ex-Mayor Coleman Young almost topped the incumbent for at at-large city council seat in Tuesday's primary. But not quite. West Detroit council seat to stay vacant until November

View Comments Detroit — The City Council on Tuesday decided it won't fill the seat vacated by indicted member Gabe Leland.
