ANN ARBOR, MI The Ann Arbor Housing Commission proposes using $5.1 million from a new affordable housing tax over the next two years toward building an 18-story high-rise on a downtown city-owned property.
The long-envisioned project on the old Y Lot a public parking lot next to the Blake Transit Center at 350 S. Fifth Ave. could include over 400 housing units, Housing Commission Executive Director Jennifer Hall told City Council.
Hall presented her plan to fund several affordable housing developments in the first two years of the new tax during a council budget work session Monday night, Feb. 22. ....
