On Friday, April 21, the Virginia Tech Board of Visitors voted unanimously on the resolution to increase tuition and fees in the 2023-2024 academic year by 4.9 percent.
Overall costs for students will increase 7% in the 2023-24 academic year after the Virginia Tech Board of Visitors raised tuition and mandatory fees, and room and board.
The board rector said it was a tough decision.
