Alumni Veenstra, Pingel Earn All-American Status

Emily Vos, a member of the 2018 Lady Dutch track and field champions and an individual title winner in the 200 meters, placed 6th in the Missouri Valley Conference Championships in the 400 meters and was on the 4×400 team that placed second for the UNI Panthers. A Pella High School graduate has her name on the list of official final rosters and entry lists for all qualifiers for the 2021 NAIA Women’s Indoor Track and Field National Championships. Annika Pingel, now at Doane, is the No. 11 seed in the Women’s 800 meter run. Pingel was a qualifier in the Indoor Championships in 2020 and 2019 as well. Pingel is a junior at Doane, and while at Pella High School, stepped on the finish line in her senior season in the 4×400 relay that clinched the 2018 3A state championship for the Lady Dutch.
