For the Blair Oaks Lady Falcons, winning a district track and field team championship last season was nice. But the bigger picture is to perform their best when the Class 3 track and field state championships arrive in late May.
The Blair Oaks Falcons have state experience returning on the cross country team. The Lady Falcons want to extend their season to that final weekend at Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Columbia.
The Blair Oaks Lady Falcons came close to winning a track and field state title last May. They have the pieces to be competitive among the state’s top athletes again this season. “With the great athletes we lost, you wonder how great we’re going to be this year,” Blair Oaks girls coach Marc Keys said. “After seeing the incoming freshmen and who we’ve got coming in, I think we’re going to be a little better than I thought."
