Apr 10, 2021 George H. Purdy Jr., age 82, a resident of Johnstown, passed away on Monday, April 5, 2021. at Nathan Littauer Hospital after a short illness. George was born on December 17, 1938, in Gloversville, NY. He was the son of the late George H. Purdy Sr. and Nora M. Clegg Purdy. He was a graduate of Gloversville High School, class of 1957. He worked in the leather mills all his life and retired from Liberty Leather in Johnstown. George loved to play golf and was a long standing member of the Fox Run Golf Club.
