It was an emotional day for two members of the NYPD, as Francesca Mosomillo and Conor McDonald, both of whom have fathers who served in the department and were shot in the line of duty, received promotions.
Among them was now-Detective Francesca Mosomillo, 28, the daughter of Anthony Mosomillo, who was killed in 1998 while attempting to bring in a drug dealer who had skipped out on a court date.
