In loving memory of Shenise Michelle Hamilton, who departed this world Dec. 28, 2023, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love.

At a June 29 joint meeting with YSDC and Village Council, participants grappled with the complexities of economic growth and development and its implications for both village residents and businesses.

Anthony “Tony” Scott Burrer, born Sept. 8, 1954, and his life partner, Kathryn Sue (Knowling) Kingery, born Nov. 25, 1956, passed away in early March.

The objective of the meeting was for the three entities and the public to come together in order to better understand tax structures, learn about each entity’s financial needs and talk about ideas for future collaboration.

The group’s recently elected president, Corrie Van Ausdal, suggested that the nonprofit widen, rather than narrow, its lens, with the goal of creating a shared community vision.
