NORTH PROVIDENCE – Nick Verrechia says he understands that Memorial Day for many is justifiably a great and beautiful day of celebration and reminiscing, of cookouts, fireworks, and the start of summertime fun. But for him, with the memories he has of his father, as well as an uncle he never met, it’s just another day of remembering lives of men who meant so much to him and their country.
