YSRCP Confident Of Getting Overwhelming Mandate In Municipal Polls Too Mar 04, 2021, 10:17 IST Amaravati: Affirming that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy Government is getting an overwhelming mandate as seen in Panchayat polls, YSRCP said that it would sweep the Municipal polls as well. Speaking to media here on Wednesday, Government Advisor (Public Affairs) Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy said that the TDP has no candidates to field, although State Election Commission has given one more chance to file nominations. YSRCP candidates will sweep in the municipal elections, as people have witnessed the good governance of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for the past 20 months. Mar 02, 2021, 12:29 IST KURNOOL: In the wake of the upcoming Municipal elections ,former mayor of Kurnool Corporation and senior TDP leader Bangi Ananthaiah joined the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), on Monday. Kurnool MLA Hafeez Khan presented the YSRCP shawl and welcomed him to the party fold in the presence of local party leaders in the district at Kurnool. Ananthaiah served as the Mayor of Kurnool from 1995 to 2000. Along with him, TDP leaders Laxmayya, Suresh, Ravishankar, Ganesh, Raghu Rana Pratap, Shankar and Chiranjeevi also joined the YSRCP. Talking to the media later Bangi Ananthaiah said that he was impressed with the welfare schemes and development programs implemented by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy prompting him to join the party. Chandrababu Had No Permission To Stage Protest: Tirupati Urban SP Clarifies On Detention Mar 01, 2021, 16:09 IST TIRUPATI: TDP president and Opposition Leader N Chandrababu Naidu was not allowed to stage a protest in Tirupati as he had no permission to do so, clarified Tirupati Urban Superintendent of Police Ch Venkata Appala Naidu on Monday. Addressing the media, he stated that Chandrababu was informed about this yesterday itself but he paid no heed and arrived at the airport, which is why the police had to detain him there, the SP explained. As the Model Code of Conduct was in force the police had to stop him at the airport lounge. The senior TDP leader got into an argument with the police officials and created a ruckus there.
