Appleton: LGBTQ community, allies protest sign with homophobic slur
APPLETON - Rainbows filled the sidewalk and honks from passing cars rang out as members and allies of the LGBTQ community gathered in downtown Appleton Saturday afternoon to protest the use of a homophobic slur on an nearby building's electronic sign. About 150 people attended the protest at 200 N. Richmond St., where an electronic sign earlier in the week displayed a picture of former U.S. Sen.
