Benny “the Cowboy” Binion, a founding father of Vegas and ProRodeo Hall of Famer, was instrumental in luring NFR from its longtime home in Oklahoma City, along with Las Vegas Events, a private, not-for-profit arm of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) focused on special events.
