New apprenticeship designed to assist merchants 27 May, 2021 SHARE The AMG and BMF course will be delivered virtually through tutor-lead classes and workplace-learning with all resources available online. The Apprenticeship Management Group and the national Builders Merchants Federation have teamed up to launch a new level three apprenticeship. The Level 3 Team Leader Supervisor apprenticeship will support those taking the initial step to becoming a manager, or who have recently been appointed to a junior management role, and will see the apprentice take on extra responsibilities such as project management or leading a team of other employees. The apprenticeship has been designed by the Gloucestershire based apprenticeship company with the BMF. AMG run its apprenticeship programme called Apprenticeship Plus. ....
THERE is ‘light at the end of the tunnel’ for struggling businesses in the Cotswolds after a third national lockdown was announced on Monday. Pubs, restaurants and cafes have closed, but restaurants will be able to continue to offer delivery or takeaway. Essential retailers such as supermarkets, pharmacies, garden centres, builders merchants may stay open, however non essential shops must close. One of those heavily affected by the pandemic is the Barn Theatre in Cirencester. The theatre has had to adapt to the new normal, with virtual showings and outdoor performances.
