On Monday, Apple introduced their Revolutionary XR Spatial Computing Headset branded "Apple Vision Pro." The keynote for that segment blew me away. I was stunned at what I was seeing. Today, I was equally stunned to find an Apple Vision Pro patent published in Europe. Without seeing Apple's presentation, it would have been a little difficult to describe something we've never seen before. Now that most of the Apple Community has seen Apple's new headset, it'll be easier to understand Apple's patent and figures.

On February 22, 2023, the European Patent Office published a patent application from Apple titled "Multi-Device Continuity for use with Extended Reality (XR) Systems." It describes how a user with an iDevice (iPhone/iPad) or Mac (desktop of laptop) could transfer a document in-progress to an XR Headset display to allow a user to edit or finish said document in Extended Reality.

Today the US Patent & Trademark Office published a patent application from Apple that relates to computer-generated reality environments, and more specifically to dynamically controlling displays in a computer-generated reality environment. Drilling down further, the patent filing describes the process as a virtual 'display expansion operation" that pertains to a Mac, MacBook or TV etc.
