The People’s Princess is making a royal exit. Diana, The Musical has set a closing date of December 19 after 7 weeks of performances. Diana, The Musical began Broadway performances on November 1 and officially opened on December 2. The show was intended for an open-ended run at the Longacre Theatre. At the time of closing, the show will have played 16 preview performances and 33 regular performances.
"Diana, The Musical" will be ending its run just a short month after it opened at the Longacre Theatre in New York City.
The royal musical had a bumpy road to Broadway, from a delay caused by the pandemic to a filmed version of the show on Netflix that was widely panned.
